ACEA

ACEA (Association des Constructeurs Europeens d'Automobiles) represents the interests of European vehicle manufacturers within the EU. The ACEA specification tells you that an oil meets their standards. The performance of the oil is broken down in to different categories: A = Petrol, B = Diesel and C = Catalyst compatible or low SAPS (Sulphated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulphur).

ACEA A5 and ACEA B5

ACEA A5 and ACEA B5

ACEA A5 and ACEA B5 are oil specifications for conventional and low-viscosity oils suitable for petrol (A5) and diesel (B5) engines. A reduction in fuel consumption of at least 2.5% compared to a 15W-40 viscosity oil must be demonstrated in a test engine for an oil to meet this specification.
