Fuchs Titan Race Comp Gear (formerly known as Silkolene Comp Gear) is designed to give smoother gear change characteristics and positive, easy clutch action. By reducing viscous drag and friction it ensures slick gear changes while reducing wear and transmission power losses. Excellent anti-wear characteristics coupled with low metal to metal friction values help reduce pitting and wear of gear teeth, prolonging component life.
Comp Gear is also compatible with aluminium and Kevlar faced clutch plates. It ensures excellent lubrication and prevents overheating of gearbox components such as selector forks and bearings which can become starved of lubrication with conventional mineral oil based products.
NOTE: Not suitable for hypoid applications
Comp Gear was previously available under the Silkolene brand. Now re-labeled as Fuchs Titan Race Comp Gear, it offers the same excellent formulation.
During the changeover, you may receive either Silkolene or Fuchs Titan Race branded product.
Comp Gear is a high performance, semi-synthetic gearbox oil designed primarily for off-road competition machines. It is also suitable for road going sports machines where gearbox and clutch lubrication is combined. Comp Gear has high thermal stability. It is designed to withstand the high thermal stresses generated in motocross racing applications. Proven in Motocross Grand Prix Racing, it has outstanding load carrying capabilities and is able to withstand the shock loads imposed by even the most radical riding styles.
