The trailer coupling is the part of your towable that is attached to the ‘A’ frame. It forms a socket for the tow ball and provides the necessary pivot point between the trailer and the towing vehicle. Coupling bodies commonly in use can range from 750kgs upwards. Usually they fit a standard 50mm ball bracket and are manufactured from pressed steel or malleable cast iron.
