Loctite SI 5940 Silicone Adhesive Sealant RTV - Black

Loctite SI 5940 is a one part room temperature vulcanising (RTV) acetoxy silicone sealant which is predominantly used as a multipurpose sealing and bonding agent, a space-filling rubber adhesive or a formed-in-place gasket maker. Once exposed to moisture in the air, it will cure to form a tough, flexible, waterproof and oil-resistant silicone rubber bond with excellent resistance to aging, shrinking, cracking and discolouration.

This product has the ability to adhere to many clean materials, including metal, glass, most non-oily woods, silicone resin, vulcanised silicone rubber, ceramic, natural and synthetic fibres and even the majority of painted and plastic surfaces.

SI 5940 can be used generally in applications with an operating temperature range of -50°C to 200°C, although it can intermittently reach up to 220°C.
