The purpose of an oil cooler is to protect the engine oil from excessive thermal load through permanent heat dissipation. The optimal temperature of engine oil is about 90-100°C, and if this rises by just 10°C it can negatively affect the function and service life of the engine oil.
Therefore, oil coolers are essential in order to maintain the characteristics of your engine oil.
