Opie Oils Terms and Conditions of Buying Online
These
are Opie Oils Online Store Terms and Conditions of sale to which all
online purchases are subject. We reserve the right to change these
terms and conditions at any time, without notice. Any changes will take
effect when posted on this website. By using this website you agree to
be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. The ContractAcceptance of your order and the
completion of the contract between us (Opie Oils) and you, (the
customer), will take place when the goods have been paid for by you and
despatched by us. Any email, order confirmation or other electronic
acknowledgement by us of receipt of an order does not constitute legal
acceptance by Opie Oils of your order. In the event that there are any
errors regarding price or description, we reserve the right to notify
you as soon as possible and give you the options to proceed with this
revised order at the correct price/description, or to cancel the order.
In these circumstances, upon cancellation, your credit/debit card will
be refunded in full.
1b. Price InformationThe prices shown are only
applicable to purchases made via the Opie Oils website. On occasions,
the prices payable and promotions offered via the Opie Oils website may
differ from those prices and promotions offered at the same time in
Opie Oils over-the-counter sales. We are under no obligation to honour any in-store
price or promotion that differs from those online. Similarly, Opie Oils
stores are under no obligation to honour any online price or promotion
that differs from the in-store price.
Special Offers and
promotions advertised in the press or other media may be excluded
unless specifically advertised as available online.
All offers are subject to availability and while stocks last.
All
prices are shown in £ sterling and include VAT at the prevailing rate
where appropriate. EU customers outside the UK with an EU VAT number may apply for a refund of VAT paid by faxing a copy of their VAT registration document to +44 1209 215164 . VAT is not charged on orders to the Channel Islands or outside the EU.
If an
administrative error has resulted in an incorrect price being
displayed, we reserve the right to correct that price and notify you
accordingly. In these circumstances, it will be deemed that a contract
has not been entered into and you will not be bound to continue with
your purchase. You will be asked to email us to confirm that you wish
to proceed at the correct price, however, should you choose not to do
so, your monies will be refunded to your credit/debit card in full. The
repayment of such monies paid to us will be the extent of our liability
to you in the event of pricing errors.

2. PaymentWe accept payment by most major credit or debit cards and via PayPal.
Please
ensure that the expiry date of your credit/debit card is after the
anticipated dispatch date of your order. Payment will be debited from
your account just before the dispatch of your goods, and if your
payment card has expired, we will be unable to take payment and fulfill
your order.
We regret that we are unable to accept payment by
cheque, cash, gift vouchers, High Street Vouchers, Purchase Orders or
any other form of payment other than credit or debit cards.
3. Validation ChecksAll credit and charge card holders
are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.
If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us,
we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
In
addition, in the interests of preventing fraudulent use of credit,
debit and charge cards, Opie Oils will validate the names, addresses
and other information supplied during the order process against
commercially available records (e.g Electoral Roll data). A third party
may also be instructed to complete these checks. We may need to contact
you by letter, telephone or email to verify details before we are able
to process and dispatch your order or we may be unable to accept your
order. These measures are taken as extra protection for you, to ensure
your online shopping experience with us is as safe and secure as
possible.
4. LiabilityThe majority of card issuers cover all the
charges that may result from unauthorised use of your credit card or
debit cards, but some may limit your liability to £50. If you believe
your credit or debit card has been subject to unauthorised use you
should contact your card issuer without delay.
5. Delivery of GoodsWe deliver to UK addresses and the
following non-UK addresses: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland,
Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania,
Luxemborg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of
Ireland, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the Vatican
City. The charge for delivery will be shown clearly during the checkout
process.
Goods can be delivered either to your home address, to an alternative address or to your work.
Your
order will be delivered either by Royal Mail, Royal Mail Recorded
Delivery or by courier. A signature is required for all Royal Mail
Recorded Delivery and courier deliveries.
If your order contains
more than one product the individual products may, on occasions, be
sent on multiple dispatches at no extra charge.
6a. Delivery ChargesIf a product is available to purchase online, post and packaging will be charged in addition to the item prices shown.
We
make every effort to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. The
delivery charge depends on the size and weight of the product ordered.
You only pay one delivery charge irrespective of the number of products
ordered.
When you add products to your shopping basket the
appropriate charge will be added automatically. All delivery charges
will be shown clearly throughout the checkout process.
6b. Delivery TimesDelivery times are calculated in
working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive (working days do not
include weekends or National Bank Holidays). In case of Bank Holidays
please allow an extra 2 working days.
From the receipt of your
order we will endeavor to deliver your chosen items to you within 7
working days providing the goods are in stock, unless a longer or
shorter delivery time is shown on the product information page. We
reserve the right to alter or amend delivery times in exceptional
circumstances.
Deliveries to non-Mainland UK or remote locations
and Direct Delivery items (products delivered directly from the
manufacturer, not shipped by Opie Oils) may take longer.
Risk in the goods will pass to you on delivery.
Goods
delivered by courier should arrive between 9am and 5pm, Monday to
Friday. All courier deliveries must be signed for. If you are out when
the courier arrives the courier will leave a card with the contact
number for you to call to arrange a suitable time for redelivery or for
you to collect the goods from the local depot. The courier will make
two attempts to deliver your goods to you before returning to Sender,
any goods returned to Sender will incur a return fee which will
deducted from any monies refunded. Re-delivery of your goods shall be
charged at the original carriage fee plus a return charge which will be
taken from the same credit or debit card used to place the order.
