The Hella Knock Sensor (6PG 013 114-351) is a replacement for a faulty original sensor or an additional sensor added to the engine management system for performance enhancements or modifications.
A knock sensor is located on the outside of the engine block. The sensor monitors the combustion process in the engine. Its signal helps to protect the engine by using the engine control to prevent combustion knock. It is intended to prevent engine damage, by recording knocking noise in all engine-operating states.
