VW 506.01 oil

are especially for "Pumpe-Düse" (unit injector or "PD" engines) running
on extended service intervals (30,000 - 50,000km / 24 months). Oil
change is indicated by the electronic service indicator.
It is vitally important to use an oil meeting either this, the VW 505.01 specification or the VW 507.00 specification to avoid damaging the diesel pump in PD engines.
For PD engined cars with a (DPF), use only an oil meeting the VW 507.00 specification.
