About K&N Filter Care Service Kit

K&N Air Filters will require periodic cleaning, typically every 30,000 - 50,000 miles.

K&N air filters use a specially formulated oil to attract and suspend dirt to the cotton-gauze filtration surface. Over time, dirt accumulates on the filter and airflow can be reduced. The K&N Recharger Filter Care Service Kits are ideal for cleaning and re-oiling your K&N filter.

Included are a cleaning solution and dirt-attracting oil, both of which are formulated specifically for K&N's cotton-gauze filter media.

The K&N Filter Care Service Kit comes in 2 variants:

• K&N Filter Care Kit - Squeeze - 99-5050
• K&N Filter Care Kit - Aerosol - 99-5000EU

Both include a 12-ounce bottle of cleaning solution, but Oil packaging varies. Choose from the 8-ounce Squeeze Oil version (99-5050) or 7.18-ounce aerosol Spray Oil (99-5000EU).

  Cleaning & Recharging K&N Air Filters

STEP 1: APPLY CLEANER

If needed, brush off any loose dirt with a soft brush. Then spray K&N Air Filter Cleaner or K&N Power Kleen liberally onto both sides of filter and allow to soak for 10 minutes to loosen the dirt. Do not allow the cleaner to dry on the air filter.

STEP 2: RINSE FILTER

Rinse off air filter with cool low-pressure water from the clean side out in order to flush the dirt out of the filter. Continue to rinse the filter until all traces of cleaner are gone. It may be necessary to repeat steps 1 and 2.

STEP 3: DRY FILTER

After rinsing, gently shake off excess water and allow filter to dry naturally. Do not oil until the filter is dry.

STEP 4: OIL FILTER

SQUEEZE OIL (99-5050): Apply K&N Air Filter Oil evenly along the crown of each filter pleat. Allow oil to wick for approximately 20 minutes. Touch up any light areas on either side of the filter until there is a uniform red color on all areas.

AEROSOL OIL (99-5000EU): Spray K&N Air Filter Oil evenly along the crown of each filter pleat holding nozzle about 3" away. Allow oil to wick for approximately 20 minutes. Touch up any light areas on either side of the filter until there is a uniform red color on all areas.

We have carriage rates to UK mainland from as little as £2.95 (Inc Vat) using our saver rate on orders less than 1kg.

Standard UK mainland carriage is now a great flat rate of £4.99 (Inc Vat) no matter what the weight (excludes some Highland post codes).

How long will it take to get my order?

When placing an order with Opie Oils, we'll do all we can to get your order to you as quickly as possible. The vast majority of items are held in stock and dispatched from our UK warehouse. UK delivery will take less than 7 working days (i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive), unless we contact you to advise otherwise. In 90% of cases, delivery is made well before this, and priority ordering is also available (Click here for more details). In case of Bank Holidays please allow an extra working day.
