About Castrol HSMO Plus - Hydraulic System Mineral Oil (Bentley & Rolls Royce)
This is a specially formulated mineral fluid for use in later Rolls-Royce and Bentley hydraulic systems where a mineral oil is specified.

Castrol Hydraulic System Mineral Oil Plus is specifically designed for use in powered hydraulic systems which use a pump to drive components such as brake actuation and suspension levelling. Such a system is used in all Rolls Royce systems with serial numbers 50.001 onwards and identification numbers from SCA 0000 ACH 01001 onwards. These vehicles, manufactured after 1979, posess special reservoirs which prevent contamination with any other fluids.
This product should never be mixed with conventional synthetic brake fluids or used where conventional synthetic brake fluids is recommended.
Castrol Hydraulic System Mineral Oil Plus has a high viscosity
index (VI) which means that the viscosity remains more constant under
normal operating conditions. Castrol Hydraulic System Mineral Oil Plus
is very shear stable which means that the unique viscometric properties
of the product are maintained throughout the service life. Castrol
Hydraulic System Mineral Oil Plus is fully compatible with all
elastomers used in existing automotive powered hydraulic systems
recomending this type of fluid. Additives also aid in corrosion
protection.
