Audi uses a Volkswagen specific engine oil which was introduced in the 1990s ensuring minimum standards are met for their vehicles (including Audi). Over time oil requirements increase and the specifications set for Audi have moved on from 500.00 to 504.00 and 507.00 specifications.
These specifications are used for Audi, Skoda, Seat and Volkswagen cars. |

View oils that meet the 500.00 specification for Audi engines here. This oil specification is applicable to older engines prior to model year 2000 (up to August 1999). Oils given an approval after March 1997 will have been given an alternative specification that supercedes the 500.00 specification.
This oil can be used in older Audi petrol and some diesel engines (unless referred to under other specifications). Not suitable for Audi vehicles using extended service intervals. |
