Duckhams Classic Q 10w-40 Engine Oil

Duckhams Classic Q 10W-40, true to its history as “the engines choice” is a mineral oil multigrade engine oil, carefully selected to be suitable for use in Modern Classic vehicles requiring an SAE 10W-40 engine oil.

Duckhams Classic Q 10W-40 features a finely balanced additive package, including detergents and dispersants, in high quality base oils to maintain high levels of cleanliness and sludge controls in engines fitted with full flow filters, whilst still protecting from wear, rust and corrosion.

Duckhams Classic Q 10W-40 is designed using updated additives to provide reliable protection to Modern Classic vehicles whilst still meeting, or exceeding, the performance required of a classic oil.

  • Carefully selected to be suitable for use in petrol of diesel cars and light commercial vehicle, including turbocharged engines, produced in the 1980s and 1990s.
  • Balanced ZDDP level protects critical components, such as cam shafts, valve gears and bearings from wear.
  • Shear stable multi-grade engine oil designed to maintain oil pressure and reduce oil consumption within classic engines, compared to modern, low viscosity oils, whilst still be suitable for year-round use.
  • Updated additive technology gives improved wear protection, even in classic vehicles whilst maintaining engine cleanliness and minimising rust and corrosion.
  • SAE 10W-40 oil gives fuel economy improvements when compared to SAE 20W-50 Engine oils
  • Modern hydrotreated base oils reduce oxidation and minimises formation of sludges and varnishes, maintaining engine performance for longer.
  • Distinctive “Duckhams green” colour.

Newer API specifications are fully backward compatible with older API specifications, so this oil can be used with confidence where older specification oils are required.

Carriage starts at just £0.95 (inc VAT) for small items, with our most common courier rate set at £5.99 for orders of 5kg (enough for 5 litres of oil).

  • Courier surcharges mean we are unable to offer free "to the door" courier shipping from us in Cornwall up to Highlands / Grampian in Scotland - and because we send a lot of liquids, not every courier option is available to us. UPS Access Point™ (click & collect) is available as a free shipping option across Scotland, Wales and England, wherever there is a UPS Access Point™ Location.
  • Carriage charges are based on weight - please see our table of carriage costs for full details (although adding an item to your cart and viewing the calculated carriage is often easier!).
