High Viscosity Index (HVI) Hydraulic oil, effectively have an additive that offers retention of viscosity during a much broader range of operating temperatures, commonly referred to viscosity sheer stable. If viscosity is kept constant then operation of the system is kept to peak performance in a much broader range of operating environments (colder and higher temperature) making for a more reliable oil. HVI oil staying within it’s viscosity in this manner helps to maintain a normal level of anti wear, lubricant and cooling that will aid in maximising machinery / components life span and offer great efficiency levels of pressure / force transfer.
Always check your manufacturers hand book as some machinery’s internal components react badly to Zinc and Ashes, if that is the case you may require Zinc & Ash Free, High Viscosity Index (ZAF & HVI) Anti-Wear Hydraulic Oil
