BOSCH Brake Pad Set (0986424581)

Braking systems provide safety, but only with the right brake pads. Bosch design their products to suit each individual vehicle-model. From a wide range of pad formulation, use is always made of the one which solely produces brake pads with optimum characteristics – a brake pad offering ideally coordinated friction, comfort and wear properties.

• Brake pads - Bosch quality brake pads satisfy the toughest demands
• Brake-pad cross section:
  1. Friction material: Specially selected for the vehicle application concerned
  2. Underlayer: Optimizes compressibility and reduces heat transfer
  3. Adhesive: High shear strength, attaches friction material to backing plate
  4. Backing plate: High material strength
  5. Damping plate: Improved comfort
• Bosch makes brakes glowing - The components are hardened at a temperature of 193 degrees Celsius
• Performance test - At the performance test at the test bench, the friction coefficient and the brake pad’s bedding-in at different pressures are measured thus simulating years of use in vehicles
