In certain vehicles with rear-wheel drive and a front engine, a propshaft transmits the drive power from the transmission to the rear axle.
The role of a Propshaft Centre Support is to support the shaft (due to its length) in the middle which guides and stabilises the shaft, preventing the transmission of vibrations to the body during operation. As this prevents the propshaft from oscillating, this allows for increased driving comfort and simultaneously prevents or reduces possible wear.
