Febi Ignition Coil (176125)

The ignition coil consists of two sets of windings, which are wound around a soft, iron core. Upstream of the main winding, a switch allows the circuit to open and close. This lets a current travel across the primary winding, generating a magnetic field. Following this, the switch opens and causes a variation in the magnetic flow, which leads to a generation of high voltage at the secondary winding. This is then sent through the high-tension connection to the spark plug. Due to its intricate nature, only high-quality replacements should be used when fitting or replacing an ignition coil.
