Radiators are heat exchangers designed to cool vehicle engines. They work by circulating a fluid - known as engine coolant - through the engine block and cylinder head, where it absorbs heat. The heated coolant then passes through the radiator, releasing that heat into the surrounding air, before returning to the engine to repeat the cycle.
