Bilt Hamber Deox-C

Deox-C is a crystalline, 100% active corrosion removal product formulated for the removal of corrosion products from steel, stainless steel and most ferrous materials. This product when dissolved in tap water, produces a bath of powerful rust removing liquid.

Deox-C is extremely economical, for example, just one kilogram of Deox-C makes up to 20 litres of powerful rust removing bath. It will remove very heavy corrosion, but is safe to use on even the most delicate items. It is suitable for any object that can be completely immersed.

Deox-C is harmless, non-toxic and biodegradable.

1. What concentration of Deox-C should I use?
5%. The best concentration is 19 parts water to 1 part Deox-C.
2. Will Deox-C effect rubber components of rusted metal objects?
No, Deox-C will not harm any rubber pieces.
3. Should I remove corrosion by mechanical means before treatment with Deox-C?
It is best to remove as much rust as you are able mechanically before using Deox-C, if possible.
4. Is Deox-C safe for use on small rusted parts such as gears and ball bearings?
Deox-C is the best product to use for this, though you must carefully monitor the amount of time the parts are submersed. The parts should spend the minimum amount of time in the solution as possible, as prolonged periods will dull polished surfaces. It is therefore advisable to try a test area prior to undertaking the rest of the work.
5. How do I clear a fuel tank of rust using Deox-C?
Fill the tank with 5%  Deox-C and 95% water. If possible, leave for as long as it takes to clear the rust, and no longer. Empty the tank and rinse with water, then dry with hot air gun or compressed air. If using either is not possible, just drain the tank. Once dry, fill with fuel immediately, or treat with water displacing product Ferrosol if unable to do so. Filling tank with fuel after treatment with Ferrosol will not cause any adverse effects.
