First generation of high performance ceramic glow plug designs incorporating a heating element encased in silicon nitride. The large current flow and extremely fast heating times must be strictly managed by a dedicated QGS controller/relay unit. Temperature rise time approximately 3 seconds up to 900 degrees Celsius.
