The tensioner assembly not only keeps the auxiliary belt tensioned, it also compensates for the elongation of the belt over time. It also absorbs vibrations so they do not have a negative effect on the functioning of the auxiliary belt. The quality of the tensioner assembly must be perfect for these tasks.
Tensioner assemblies from Febi are therefore intensively tested. Their quality management tests the tensioner assemblies on offer for various requirements and loads, e.g. fitting accuracy, dimensional accuracy, material quality, and tensile strength.
N.B: Do not under any circumstances remove the retaining pin before attaching the belt tensioner/tension roller to the engine. Use the appropriate tool to slowly bring the belt tensioner/tension roller with the V-ribbed belt/timing belt resting on it into the tensioning position while releasing the retaining pin. Unlocking before could cause serious injuries to fingers and hands! Assembling is to be done by instruction of the car manufacturer.
