The parking assist sensor is a driver assistance system that supports the driver when manoeuvring and parking, improving safety and comfort by warning a driver of nearby hazardous obstacles. The classic parking aid works with ultrasonic sensors. When an obstacle is detected in close proximity, the driver is informed visually and/or acoustically. The more ultrasonic sensors that are installed and spread out across the width of the vehicle, the more accurate the measurement result will be.
