HeatShield HP Shield Mat - Self-Adhesive Heat Shield Material 12" x 24"
Keep your cool with this Self-Adhesive HP Shield Mat from HeatShield, featuring a high-temperature peel-and-stick adhesive. When used in applications with 1" of airspace and good airflow, this heat resistant material is capable of reflecting 90% of radiant heat.
With the ability to withstand 594°C of radiant heat (requires minimum of 1" airspace) and 232°C of direct heat, this material is perfect for using underneath your floorpan to shield heat from your DPF, muffler, catalytic converter and exhaust system - or on the firewall to shield engine heat. You can also use it as a cold-air intake heat shield; just put it on your metal or plastic air box to stop heat from raising air intake temperatures.
Please note that this self-adhesive version is not recommended for rough, unfinished fibreglass or carbon fibre.
